Travis Hallyburton Working Towards APC United Late Model Series Debut Sometime in 2018

HILLSDALE, ON – Multi-time Sunset Speedway Ltd. Late Model feature winner Travis Hallyburton has announced that he is actively working to formulate a package that will see him make his Pro Late Model debut with the APC United Late Model Series in 2018.

“This is definitely something for us to get excited about,” beams Hallyburton. “The APC Series is white-hot right now. That roster is the best in the province and their races are the best anywhere. It’s absolutely the division that we’ve wanted to be a part of for years. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this could be the beginning of.”

Hallyburton will work with Streamline Race Products head Shaun McWhirter for a part-time APC Series effort that could see ‘.50 Cal’ make a number of appearances throughout the summer.

“Shaun and I are still working out the details – but our Pro Late Model schedule would work around being at Sunset with my Limited Late [Model],” clarifies the Hillsdale, ON native. “I’m not really sure how many races that could be. It could be two. It could be three.”

“We know that we want to run the [APC Series] races at Sunset and I’d give just about anything to race at Jukasa,” continues Hallyburton. “After that – who knows where you might see us.”

The newfound partnership with McWhirter and SRP will provide Hallyburton with an ideal opportunity to join the growing ranks of accomplished short track competitors flocking towards the burgeoning cross-province tour.

“These days a win on the tour is as hard to get as anything in Ontario,” offers Hallyburton. “The APC Series race results read like a ‘who’s who’ of the best teams at this level.”

“I’m really looking forward to seeing where we stack up against them,” continues the fan favourite. “Our team has never turned away from a challenge and Shaun has had some fantastic results lately. It’s an awesome combination. I think we can do some great things together.”
