NORTH MIAMI, FL – Veteran car owner Sean Grosman has announced that his SMG Motorsports outfit will work with North Carolina’s Fury Racecars to campaign for the 2018 APC United Late Model Series championship with driver Ryan Kimball.

“Our whole team is excited to be working with a company like Fury,” states Grosman. “We met with them and looked at their product and it was immediately clear to us that it was the path we wanted to head down for 2018.”

“Fury has been dominant in every platform of short track racing and they were excited to form a partnership with us,” continues the Car Owner and competitor. “We’re going to do all that we can to collaborate with them and develop a package that can run up front with the APC [United Late Model] Series.

Kimball has been one of Ontario’s most successful competitors in recent seasons, winning the lauded Autumn Colours Classic as well as Peterborough Speedway’s weekly Ltd. Late Model championship.

“I don’t think there’s anyone in the province that could doubt Ryan’s ability behind the wheel of a racecar,” says Grosman. “I couldn’t be prouder of all that he’s won for our team and I’m excited to see just how much further we can go together.”

“The APC Series is one of the hottest properties in racing right now. It has some elite-level talent and we know that our team will have to be as good as it’s ever been if we want to regularly challenge for wins on the tour.”

And, while the 2018 season will mark SMG Motorsports’ initial foray into Pro Late Model competition, Grosman is confident in the program’s ability to make an instant impact.

“I don’t think we’re going to need much of a warm-up or conditioning period,” insists ‘The Frequent Flyer’. “We have the best people around us and we have – in my opinion – the best driver in the province. When you put all that together, it’s a formidable team.”

“I learned a long time ago not to try and offer too many predictions this sport,” continues Grosman. “But I think our team has a real high ceiling this season. I’m real excited to see how it’s going to play out.”
