After following a limited schedule in 2017, fans can anticipate seeing much more of ‘The Frequent Flyer’ in 2018, as his SMG Motorsports outfit aims to fashion their best season since moving to Super Late Model competition in 2015.
“We’ve never set the bar higher for ourselves going into a race season,” says Grosman. “Behind the scenes, these guys have never worked harder and I’ve never wanted to succeed more as a driver. Our team is in a really good place this year. This is going to be a big season for us.”
Grosman first made his name in Ontario’s short track scene with a number of weekly victories in Sunset Speedway’s wildly competitive Ltd. Late Model division. Now, he hopes to find the same success with the upstart OSLMS.
“I think the [Ontario Super Late Model Series] is going to bring a fresh look to Super Late Model racing,” explains the North Miami, FL resident. “It’s got everybody talking about these cars again. Guys are excited to get their stuff out of the shop and back to the track. It’s been a while since that’s happened.”
And, despite the fact that the first-year tour is likely to attract some of Ontario’s biggest names, Grosman is confident in his team’s abilities to contend with the best of the best.
“I think that our team has all the components necessary to make a deep run towards the points championship,” says Grosman. “And, frankly, I think a lot of the other teams can see that too.”
“We went with a brand new Senneker Performance hotrod this season , Straight from St.Wayland, Michigan” Senneker has pumped out alot of proven winners over the years and there equipment is top notch, Which made my desion to go with them, Very easy.”
“We’re going to be a problem for these other guys to deal with this year. We’re organized and we’re focused in a way that we haven’t been before. I’ve itching to get on track for the first time this year because I know it’s going to be something special.”
