Kevin Bridge Intent on Pursuing Great Lakes Concrete Series Mini Stock Championship

KINCARDINE, ON – Multi-time Sauble Speedway feature winner Kevin Bridge confirmed this week he will follow the entirety of the six-race Great Lakes Concrete Series split between Sunset Speedway and Sauble Speedway in 2018.

“I feel that our team has been the high-water-mark at Sauble for a few years now,” explains the former Sauble Speedway Mini Stock champion. “So I’m absolutely excited to represent ‘the Beach’ and see what we can do to go toe-to-toe with some of the top guys in the division and come out on the other side with a championship.”

For Bridge, the notion of supporting the two facilities working together to provide a better product for fans and drivers alike was very much a ‘no-brainer’.

“I’ll support speedways working together every single chance that I get,” explains the well-spoken veteran. “Our team was a part of the Spira Fire Protection Home-and-Home Series when Sunset and Sauble partnered up a few years ago and we loved it. When the announcement came out about this new series, it took me less than a second to commit”

“If promoters are going to go out and put something together that benefits everyone – then we as racers owe it to them to support it.”

And while Bridge will enter the six-race series as one of the few Mini Stock pilots will feature victories at both facilities, he knows that there are no guarantees when racing against the top talent in Ontario.

“There’s not a single driver on the roster that’s promised anything in this series,” insists Bridge. “There aren’t going to be any easy nights. There are a lot of tough teams gunning for this title. Everybody wants to add this to their record.”

“We’re building a brand new car for these six races – so I can’t help but have some real high expectations for us. I’m excited to see what we can put together and just how strong we can perform against these guys.”
