AYR, ON – With Jukasa Motor Speedway set to play host to its second Pro Late Model event on September 23rd, drivers across Ontario are firming up their programs to ensure their chances at the inaugural Fall Brawl 50.
“If we’re going to get a win before this season ends, I can’t think of a single race that would be more exciting to do it at than this one,” smiles Fitzpatrick
“[Jukasa] is the most exciting place in the province right now and this will be one of the best races anywhere this season. The pits will be packed, the stands will be packed – I mean who wouldn’t want to put their name on a race like this?”
Fitzpatrick registered an 11th-place finish in August 27th’s APC United Late Model Series event at the facility, and intends on improving upon that performance on September 23rd.
“We had a great car in our last race at [Jukasa] and I’m positive we can build on that,” says the fan favourite. “I’ve always been about learning from mistakes and improving with every opportunity. For our first race back in our own equipment, I think our race went better than we could have expected. We’ve got a great base to work with.”
After mutually parting ways with Marvin Freiburger Racing in late July, Fitzpatrick has reformed his family-run operation and intends on returning to the same prominence earned with his 2016 OSCAAR Super Late Model championship.
“It’s tough to explain just how good it feels to have our own program back running again,” offers Fitzpatrick. “Now, we need to start concentrating on building ourselves up to where we know we should be.”
“A win at [Jukasa] would be huge for us. Everyone’s going to be watching and we’re ready to put in the work to make sure they’re talking about us on their way home.”
