COLDWATER, ON – Diverse racer Jordan Latimer will once again team with Car Owner Craig Ellis’ Super Stock operation in 2020.

The pair united late in the 2019 season and will look to continue their partnership, beginning with this Saturday’s 50-lap, $1200-to-win Super Stock Invitational.

“I’m just excited to be back with Craig and his team,” says Latimer from his Coldwater, ON home. “Craig has put a lot of effort into building his program and being a part of that is an honour. I know that we have an awesome chance to hit the ground running and contend for some wins this season. It’s an phenomenal position to be in.”

This Saturday’s invitational will put their outfit up against some of the most revered teams in the province, with Flamboro Speedway promoter John Casale offering up a big payday for the first Super Stock event of the 2020 campaign.

“I absolutely believe that we have the equipment and the personnel in place to challenge for wins no matter where we are or who we’re racing against,” insists Latimer. “We’ve been working hard, from the moment we teamed up last Summer, to have a program that we can contend.”

“We’re even more organized than we were last season. Our team did an amazing job of gelling and coming together from day one. We’re all a lot more comfortable together and I’m more comfortable with the car. I’m excited for the challenge this Saturday.”

With schedules all across North America impacted directly by the COVID-19 pandemic, Latimer and Ellis are uncertain of how many races they’ll be able to contest in 2020. As a result, the team is likely to follow more of a ‘pick and choose’ schedule than a traditional campaign of racing at the same facility week-in and week-out.

“Our team is always talking about challenging ourselves and testing ourselves against the best out there,” says the Coldwater, ON native. “That sort’ve falls in line with what this season is going to be all about, I think.”

“I’m not sure you’re going to see any speedways in Ontario running their regular Saturday night programs. So, if there are events once or twice a month at different facilities, I can promise we’ll be there and we’ll be doing whatever we need to do to be competitive, the car felt great in our practice session, we can’t wait for Saturday.”
