Jaden Chapman Hopes to Become Delaware Speedway’s next Breakout Star

SARNIA, ON – Super Stock graduate Jaden Chapman will once again race fulltime with Delaware Speedway’s Pro Late Model division in 2019.

The blue-collar up-and-comer will Chase points in Delaware’s headline division for the second straight year, and his family-run program has spent the entirety of a long off-season preparing for the challenge.

“We’ve spent a lot of hours in the shop doing everything we can to make sure that we’re ready,” says Chapman. “I want to contend in 2019. I don’t want to be a field filler. I don’t want to just be another guy in the drivers meeting with a pit pass on my wrist. I want to make sure our team has a purpose this year.”

“I’m excited to see all of our nights in the shop pay off this season,” continues the Sarnia, ON native. “Making the jump to Late Model racing has definitely been a passion project for our entire family and we’re hoping that 2019 is going to be a season we’ll remember for a long time.”

When asked what he hopes will he the highlight of his upcoming campaign, Chapman makes sure not to mince words when explaining just how badly he hopes to earn his first career Pro Late Model division victory.

“I catch myself laying awake at night thinking about how good it’s going to feel to win one of these races,” admits the likeable sophomore.

“I really believe that my team of guys & girl’s is every bit as good as anyone else in the pits as far as how much they want to succeed and how much effort they put in – and I want to reward them with a win more than anything in the world.”

With an infectious ‘can do’ attitude, Chapman hopes that his team can dodge the proverbial sophomore slump and find the rarified air that exists at the top of the division.

“I’m really looking forward to proving what kind of potential this team has,” says Chapman. “Our ceiling is high. We’re getting better with every start and I hope that we can be the next program that the fans get excited to see rising through this division.”
