MOUNT BRYDGES, ON – Highly touted Pro Late Model prospect Jake Sheridan will look to take the next step in his development next weekend when his family-run team heads to Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville for the annual All American 400 weekend.
Sheridan – a former APC United Late Model Series Rookie of the Year – will enter the 100-lap Pro Late Model portion of the weekend in what will be his first ever start in the United States.
“I really think the most exciting part about this event is that we’re going into this knowing that everyone is watching,” says Sheridan. “This is the biggest show in North America this month. Top teams from all over the country are going to be there and every Late Model fan from all over is going to be at the speedway or watching on Pay Per View.”
For Sheridan, the opportunity to head to one of the Crown Jewel events in all of Late Model racing is something he’s dreamed of since long before he ever jumped behind the wheel of his familiar No. 52.
“Man – it feels like every element of us going to this event is a dream come true,” beams Sheridan. “Racing at a place like Nashville in front of a huge crowd against some of the best guys in all of Late Model racing is incredible. It’s something I’ve dreamt about since I was a little kid. I’m counting the hours until we’re at the pit gate.”
While Sheridan understands the challenge that lays ahead of him, there’s no doubting the infectious enthusiasm with which he’s approaching his first career Fairgrounds Speedway start.
“I don’t think there’s a chance this won’t be the toughest race we enter all year,” admits Sheridan. “This is the perfect chance for our team to step up and grab some attention from a lot of people that have never seen us race before. The entry list is deep and this is an awesome test for us to see just where we stack up against some of the most elite guys around.”
“Stepping up against this level of talent is going to be a huge moment for us. This is the kind of experience that’s going to make us better – no matter what happens. But, I want to make the absolute most of this chance and put together a weekend we can be proud of.”
Jake Sheridan’s Fairgrounds Speedway debut is made possible thanks to the support of Bonduelle Foods, Belfor Property Renovations, J-AAR Excavating, Pride Seeds, Vibrent Farms and Cabral Racing Promotions.
