Everingham Racing Ready to Rock and Roll after “Autumn” Classic Crash Rebuild this Saturday at Flamboro Speedway’s Super Stock Special

ALCONA BEACH, ON – 2018 Sunset Speedway Super Stock champion Coltin Everingham is one of many competitors intent on kick starting their 2020 campaigns with a victory in Flamboro Speedway’s July 4th invitational.

The 50-lap event has garnered interest from top-level racers from all over the province, as Flamboro prepares to host the first Super Stock event contested anywhere in Ontario this season.

“There’s absolutely some cabin fever going on in our shop,” admits Everingham. “We spent a huge part of the off-season rebuilding most of our car, and now we’ve been waiting for months to get it on the track in race trim against some competition. We’re counting the hours until Saturday.”

And, despite the heavy-hitters that are expected to descend on Flamboro this Saturday, Everingham is not afraid to flash his trademark bravado when asked what his team anticipates from their first start of the 2020 season.

“We don’t load up and haul to a speedway with the intent on not being competitive,” stated the Alcona Beach, ON racer. “It is what it is. You can call that cockiness if you want, but it’s just the belief that we have in our program and our team.”

“It takes a lot of confidence to drive these cars the way they need to be driven,” adds Everingham. “So, if you’re coming to one of these races with anything less than complete belief in yourself, then you’re already at a disadvantage.”

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Everingham had expressed intentions of chasing a Peterborough Speedway championship in 2020. However, with the chances of any Ontario speedway completing a full season growing slimmer by the day, Everingham understands the importance of maximizing every opportunity to have his traditional No. 48 on track.

“Who knows how many times we’ll get to race this year – so we’re out to make every night count,” says Everingham. “That’s our goal anyway. No matter what. But, this year especially, when we might only race two or three nights, we can’t have any ‘mulligans’.”

“We want to win every time the trailer door drops. That begins on Saturday. [Flamboro Speedway promoter] John Casale has put up a great purse for us and we should have an awesome field of cars. It’s the perfect chance to remind this division of what our team can do.”

Coltin Everingham’s 2020 debut will be fueled by Ryan’s Landscaping, Eagle Eye Contracting, Wagner Painting, ARA Alcona Rental, Zolo Realty, Holdaway Motorsports and Cabral Racing Promotions.
