“Man I couldn’t be any happier right now,” says Constable of his outlook entering the 2018 season. “[SRP Founder] Shaun McWhirter is exactly the kind of mind that I want to team up with at this point in my career.”
“His equipment has been awesome these last few years and his guys have all won a lot of races. It’s something that I know is going to benefit our program.”
Ethan – the son of former Sunset Speedway feature winner Kent Constable – will enter the 2018 season in search of his first career event triumph as his team continues their efforts to join the elite of the Super Stock division.
“Our team has always been about winning,” says the rising star. “We don’t just want to take part. We want to be at the track to contend for wins.”
“My Dad was always a winner,” continues Constable. “He was used to being at the front of the field and I’m excited to bring that feeling back to him. I want to get him his first win as a Car Owner this season”
Constable credits McWhirter and Streamline Race Products for their recent success across the province, and admits that he feels as though the manufacturer switch is the final piece of the puzzle for his program to contend on a regular basis.
“Streamline Chassis have been some of the best in the division for a while now,” says Constable. “I’m excited to jump in this new car because I know what kind of an edge it’s going to give our team. There’s no question it’s going to be the best car I’ve ever sat in.”
“The Super Stock division has evolved to the point where you need to make sure you’re in the best equipment possible,” adds the Barrie, ON native. “I don’t think there’s a guy on the roster that has improved as much as I have in the last three years and with me behind the wheel of an SRP car I think our team is ready to rack up some impressive numbers.”
