INNISFIL, ON – After having already tallied feature victories at Sunset and Peterborough in 2017, mercurial veteran Dan Archibald has confirmed his familiar No. 07 will be in the field when Sauble Speedway hosts its inaugural Battle at the Beach Invitational this Sunday.
“It was never a question for us wether we were going to be there or not,” says Archibald in reference to Sunday’s event. “We don’t run from competition. We’re out here looking for the toughest races possible.”
“It’s sounding like [Sauble] is going to have a stout entry list – so you can add us to it.”
When asked his team’s chances at ‘the Beach’, Archibald makes sure not to mince words.
“We don’t ever leave the shop with this car without thinking we can win,” shrugs the multi-time feature winner. “We’re at the speedway to try and find a way to win. Every single time.”
“This Sunday we’ll be going to the front. We know that we have a car that can contend at Sauble. Just watch us.”
For the much talked about competitor, 2017 has already been a marquee season. His team has already established themselves as certified contenders at two different facilities and are more than ready to assert their dominance on Sunday.
“This is the best season I’ve had since I started racing,” insists Archibald. “Our team has never worked this well and we’ve never had a car this good.”
“This Sunday is my style of event,” continues the Innisfil, ON native. “Let’s bring out every big gun in the province. I hope they’re all there. Let’s all unload with our best stuff and see who’s standing at the front when it’s all said and done.”
