GUELPH, ON – Fourth-generation racer Cole Burrows has continued to impress on a weekly basis throughout his inaugural two seasons spent behind the wheel of a Junior Late Model.

The son of former Mini Stock standout Dave Burrows, Cole was born into the sport and has already shown commitment and discipline well beyond his years.

“We couldn’t be happier with how well Cole has taken to driving in the last two seasons,” beams his father Dave. “I love watching him compete because he has such a natural ability. There’s no telling how far he can go in this sport. I’m prouder and prouder with every race.”

At just 6-Years of age, Cole earned the 2017 Sauble Speedway Junior Late Model title and, in doing so, became the youngest champion in Sauble history.

“Cole was blown away when we told him that he was the youngest champion in track history,” explains Dave. “I don’t think that was an accomplishment that was even on his radar before this season. We just wanted to give him the chance to compete to the best of his ability and he did the rest. He’s developed into an incredible driver in such a short amount of time.”

For 2018, the newest member of the Burrows Boyz Racing team will be back in action at Sauble, with hopes of defending his track title and doubling down as a Sauble champion.

“I have all the faith in the world that Cole can come back and win another championship,” notes Dave. “He was destined for this. My grandfather started this team and passed it down to my Dad and my uncle, they passed it down to my Cousin and I and we’ve passed it down to Cole.”

“I can’t even begin to explain what it means to our family to see him competing and having this kind of success,” adds the Guelph, ON native. “It’s an awesome ride and we’re all just excited to be taking it with him.”
