INNISFIL, ON – Mini Stock graduate Chris Allard added another chapter to his incredible Rookie of the Year campaign on Saturday night, tallying a 3rd place finish for his second podium in his last four starts.

“Saturday was the best this car has felt all season,” beams Allard. “We’re so proud of how this car has come on in the last month. With the level of talent that these guys out here are working with – finishes like this don’t come easy. When you earn one, it reminds you pretty quickly.

“We’re very proud of that. With the level of talent that runs with this series, these podiums don’t ever come easy. When you can earn one, you’re instantly reminded of how much work goes into running at the front against these teams”.

The Innisfil, ON driver’s move to prominence has been one of the most captivating stories of the season and is something that Allard credits to his family-owned team’s driver and determination.

“Man, we’ve made a ton of gains in the last month,” explains the second-generation talent. “Our first few weeks were really all about getting our legs underneath us and coming up to speed with this car. Once we found this package that we have now though – things really took off for us”.

“We’re back to the drawing board every Sunday though,” continues Allard. “Our whole week is spent trying to find the small changes to get this car just a little bit better. We’re working on a better driver and a better car every week to keep this thing up front”.

With a myriad of top-10 performances already this season, and now a pair of podium results in the month of July, Allard knows the work is just beginning.

“Every time we roll out for a feature and take a look at how many other good cars are on track with us it’s a reality check,” explains Allard.

“This is one of the toughest rosters anywhere. It takes a lot of hours, a ton of work and some crazy dedication to get to the front. We just gotta keep putting in our time and hopefully we can keep turning heads with these runs”.
