LEFROY, ON – After fashioning a second place finish in his most recent Sunset Speedway performance on September 9th, sophomore Super Stock standout Brandon Passer has momentum on his side entering the 2017 season finale on September 16th.
“We’re evolving every time we’re out with this car,” smiles Passer in reference to Saturday’s second-place performance. “I’ve only been racing in this division for less than two years. I’ve got a long way to go. Every lap – we’re better.”
“We’ve learned stuff about this car that would have blown my mind at this time last season,” adds the third-generation racer. “We’re really excited to show off a better version of our team every time we take the green.”
Passer has continued to impress since making his Super Stock debut in 2016. Now, having logged a number of top-5 finishes in Sunset Speedway competition – in addition to an Invitational triumph at Sauble Speedway last month – Passer is seen as one of the division’s premier up-and-coming talents.
“I feel I’m catching up to this car in a lot of ways,” explains the sophomore. “I’m a little more polished every time I hit that line-up area. This car is even better than it looks right now. I think it has a lot more in it than what I’ve been able to get out of it so far.”
Sunset’s regular season finale on September 16th will profuse Passer with his final opportunity to log a NWAAS-sanctioned win at the facility prior to the off-season.
“We’ve got one more chance to get a feature win – and I really think we can do it,” says Passer. “This division is real tough. These guys don’t ever give you an inch.”
“You have to work for every position you get – but we know that going in. We’re not intimidated. We’ll be there on Saturday ready to put in the work to get where we want to be.”
