PORTAGE, MI – Rising star Carson Hocevar will set his sights on his first career ‘Crown Jewel’ victory when he rolls into Fairgrounds Speedway for the much talked about All American 400 weekend on November 2nd and 3rd.
Hocevar has split time throughout 2019 across a myriad of different cars and sanctioning bodies – from Late Models to the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series – but his passion for Super Late Model competition is overly apparent when he speaks about returning to Nashville.
“I’ll never need an excuse to get pumped up about driving a Super Late Model,” offered Hocevar. “I get pumped up just to roll out for a scuff session in a Super Late (Model), so heading down to Nashville for one of the biggest races of the year is enough to take my excitement to a whole other level”
“Every time I’m at a speedway – no matter what I’m racing – I try to look at it like it’s the biggest race of the season,” continues the well-spoken teenager, “but the All American is a little bit different.”
“Our whole team wants this one badly. It’s always been one of the most meaningful wins a Late Model racer can have on their resume. It’s a big stage for us to show fans from all over the country how good we can be”
And, while the bulk of his season has been spent going toe-to-toe with the top talent across the country, Hocevar sees the challenge that awaits him in Nashville as unique by comparison.
“Everyone on this team understands just how hard it’ll be to win this race,” notes Hocevar. “But, we know that we’re good enough to pick up one of these marquee wins. There’s going to be a whole paddock of guys that want this just as badly as we do. It’s going to be a dogfight. But we’re ready for whatever it takes.”
“The entry list for this race looks incredible,” says Hocevar. “You don’t need to look much farther than that list to understand how much this race means to the division. Guys from all over the country want to be a part of it and that just makes us want to win it even more. The teams that we’re racing against at Nashville are the ones that you need to beat if you want the chance to say you’re at your best.”
