Rick Spencer- Walt Has Sights Set on Great Lakes Concrete Series Championship And Sunset Speedways Championship In 2018

ORO MEDONTE, ON – Autumn Colours Classic champion Rick Spencer- Walt will look to add Great Lakes Concrete Series Ltd. Late Model Series Championship and Sunset Speedways Championship in 2018.

The third-generation racer declared his intentions to be racing every weekend this summer, Some weekends with both cars. The APC United Late Model Series early this off-season, and is now formulating additional plans to run a full of GLC Ltd. Late Model Series and his main goal is to be the 2018 Sunset Speedway Champion.

“Our plan is to race as much as we can this season,” says Walt. “We’re 100% committed to our Pro Late Model program and chasing the APC [United Late Model Series] tour, As much as possible – but we’re going to have a few nights where we aren’t on the road. And when we aren’t racing with the Pro Late, we’re going to make sure we have our Limited [Late Model] out”, Chasing two Championships.”

Together with car owner Eldon Wallis, Walt has won numerous Ltd. Late Model races in recent memory, establishing himself as one of the hottest racers in Ontario. Now, headed towards the 2018 season, the team is eager to continue their recent run of success.

“Eldon and I built this team to run against the best guys in this province – no matter what division,” explains ‘The Upgrade’. “There’s no doubt that the [APC Series] has the best Pro Late Models around and it sounds like the [Great Lakes Concrete Series] will have the best Limited Late Models – so they’re both perfect fits for us. We want to beat the best guys” Sunset always have a long list of elite guys to battle weekly and that’s the number one goal and focus.”

“We are currently working hard on both cars and putting together some pretty sweet new paint schemes” New look for both hotrods for this year’s adventures.”

“We have the best Ltd. Late Model program in the province right now,” insists Walt. “I think that we can unload at any of these [Great Lakes Concrete] Series events and be one of the cars that everyone is chasing.”

“I’ve never had more confidence in any team I’ve been apart of than what I do right now. I can’t wait to see just how good we can be this season. We’re hoping to win some races in every series were apart of and be in the championship mix come seasons end.”
