Dan Archibald 2017
BARRIE, ON – It would seem as though Super Stock veteran Dan Archibald is fired up entering this weekend’s Super Stock Action at Sunset Speedway. Last time out at the Innisfil, Track the “Danimal ” went home with a podium finish. This passed weekend, Archibald took home the “Hat trick” at Peterborough speedway, Winning both heats and the nights Feature.

“I don’t think anyone out here can deny we’re fast enough to win a lot of races this year,” says Archibald when asked his thoughts on his team’s performance in their first two starts of 2017. “Our lap times speak for themselves. We’ve been one of the fastest cars on the track for the first two nights”

“Our crew deserve a win,” adds the veteran. “These team is ready to get to the front and stay there – and that’s what’s happening this weekend. We’re tired of seeing other guys taking our spot on the podium”

With Sunset Speedway’s Super Stock roster boasting one of the deepest collection of talent in Ontario, Archibald knows it will take a full scale effort to earn his first Win of 2017 at Sunset.

“We’re the ‘by any means’ team,” smiles the multi-time feature winner. “We’re fast enough to win this whole deal on Sunday. And I’m more than happy to use the entire track to do it. This car can work on the top of the bottom – it’s that good”

“But,” cautions Archibald, “we’re also willing to move someone out of the way if we have to. We want this one badly. We want it more than anyone else in the pits – I can guarantee that”

With a number of feature victories to his credit in recent seasons, Archibald enters this weekend’s event with the confidence of a man intent on delivering a highlight-reel performance.

“We’re a handful for anyone,” says the Barrie, ON native. “Any time we unload at Sunset we’re a tough team to deal with. This is one of the best cars I’ve ever raced and it’s getting better every week we’ve wrenched on it”

“It’s going to be hard for anyone else on that speedway to keep me behind them on Saturday”
