The Super Stock division standout will head to Flamboro Speedway’s two-day Frostoberfest event fully intent on further entrenching himself amongst the division’s best in one of the most sought-after races in Ontario.
“I think it’s going to be impossible to walk into the pits (this weekend) and not feel excited,” says Everingham. “I’ve been smiling ear-to-ear since we brought the car home after winning the (2018 Sunset Speedway) championship.
Everingham’s family-operated team captured headlines earlier this month by earning their first ever weekly championship, and the Alcona, ON racer feels as though he has a great shot at bringing home his first igloo trophy.
“We’ve spent hours and hours in the shop because we knew that we had to prove to the rest of the province that we’re one of the very best teams in this division,” details the third-generation racer. “Now – they know. I feel like I’ve proven that all season.”
But, despite the enormity of his team’s success already, Everingham insists his Streamline Race Products-supported outfit remains both focused and motivated as they head to Flamboro.
“Even though we’ve accomplished so much this year, we’re still going to keep pressing forward this weekend,” says Everingham. “This team works too damn hard for me to come out and not give it everything I’ve got.”
“I know with everything in me that we have a car to challenge for this deal on Sunday. We’ve been close before in Crown Jewel events and the wins have slipped through our fingers. All it’s done is made us want it even more. When we leave Flamboro Sunday night I know that we have done everything in our power to be standing on that podium after the second 50 lap feature.”
