What kind of chance do you see your team standing in the battle for the 2018 championship?
“I feel that we have as good of a chance as anyone else does, We have gone over the car with a fine tooth comb this off season to ensure we are showing up with the best possible piece that we can. I’m confident in our team as we continue to expand our knowledge of the car and grow as a team on a weekly basis.”
“This year is going to take consistently strong finishes and everyone involved to stay on the top of their game all season long, It won’t be easy but I can assure you that my team and I will do everything we can to get to the front.”
When you look back on your 2017 season, what are some elements that you’re hoping to improve upon for a more successful 2018 season?
“My 2017 was a solid season overall, I believe we improved a ton on our Flamboro Speedway package after running there on a weekly basis, that being said we still need some improvement on getting our setup fine tuned for the other tracks.” not spending as much time in the latemodel at the rest of the tracks on the APC tour makes it difficult to dial in the setup with a relatively short practice window.”
“We need to ensure that our communication is perfect so we can make the proper adjustments to get the car to where it needs to be,Say’s the APC regular.
How talented do you think the APC and Flamboro roster is going to be this season?
From my perspective the APC roster has been the best field of cars, drivers, and teams. Since the series made it’s debut in 2014. I expect nothing less this season as I’m sure all the top dogs will be making a return to the series. As well as all the new comers who have seen the success in the series and want to be involved.”
Flamboro has been pushing hard to spark some interest in their track and it seems to be working. Only time will tell as we patiently await for opening night but from the sounds of it we are expecting a decent sized feild with some great drivers and strong teams. Looking forward to seeing how we stack up in the #86.
The APC roster is no doubt the most stacked in the province.
What are your plans and goals heading into this season?
“APC has created an incredibly challenging latemodel series. The cars are close and as you said the series is stacked, but I believe we have what it takes to park the Spira Racing Ford in victory lane. We have come oh so close in the past, but we have yet to seal the deal… That’s all I can think about. My team and I are hungry for an APC win, and this season is our time to make it happen. As for this year’s plans we are going to be focusing on our APC program, for me the key to succeeding in this series is consistency. With a short schedule and long races, a small mistake can make a big impact. We need to keep the car in one piece and stay inside the top 10 all season long.”
